Reversible daptomycin tolerance of adherent staphylococci in an implant infection model.

Daptomycin (DAP) is bactericidal against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in vitro, but it failed to eradicate MRSA in an experimental model of implant-associated infection.
